Job Description:
Our client is seeking a commercially driven Mechanical Engineer to join its team as an Industrial Business Development Executive, focused on developing business opportunities across the oil & gas, industrial and manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will identify and develop opportunities with International Oil Companies (IOCs), EPC contractors, industrial facility owners and other key industry stakeholders, while building long-term commercial relationships and driving project opportunities.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil & gas, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Build and maintain relationships with IOCs, EPC contractors, industrial facility owners and other key stakeholders.
Research target markets, projects and prospective clients to develop a strong business pipeline.
Identify upcoming projects and position the company's solutions for consideration.
Conduct client presentations, business meetings and technical-commercial discussions.
Develop proposals and support commercial negotiations.
Work with technical teams to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Track opportunities from initial engagement through specification, proposal and conversion.
Monitor industry trends, market developments and competitor activities.
Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities and business development activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in business development, technical sales, project development or a client-facing engineering role.
Experience within the oil & gas, industrial, manufacturing, engineering or construction sectors is highly desirable.
Existing knowledge of or relationships within IOCs, EPC contractors and industrial organisations will be an advantage.
Strong technical, commercial and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-management abilities.
Target-driven, proactive and capable of independently developing new business opportunities.
